Great sadness in the Tipperary GAA community after the sudden passing of popular figure

There was great sadness around Thurles and Tipperary GAA circles on Tuesday after news broke of the unexpected passing of  Pat O’Callaghan.

Pat passed away unexpectedly after a short illness in the Intensive Care Unit of Tipperary University Hospital.

Pat was best known as the face of Dr. Morris Park for many years and always took great pride in how the playing pitches and facilities were presented to all those who used them.

Pat was well known and much loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a welcoming and jovial character who always had a friendly word and a good story to tell.
Tipperary GAA extended their heartfelt and deepest sympathies to his daughters Laura and Paula his son David, sons-in-law Eoin and Jamie, daughter-in-law to be Amy, grandchildren Tadhg, Eve, Emily and Darragh, sisters Mary and Imelda, mother-in-law Kay O'Donoghue.
