LIVE: Tipperary gardaí chase occupants of 'suspicious vehicle' on foot and make arrest

Tipperary Roads Policing Unit carrying out patrols in the Tipperary central area on Tuesday evening spotted "occupants of a vehicle acting suspiciously in Thurles".

The vehicle then failed to stop for gardaí and carried out dangerous driving offences.

The vehicle eventually ran out of road and the "occupants were apprehended following a foot pursuit".

The driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drug driving following a failed roadside drug test.

Gardaí added: "We seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and cannabis, and the vehicle was seized as the driver had no insurance or driving licence.

"Investigations are ongoing."
