As part of MIC’s Community Engagement Programme, Secondary school students across Thurles and the surrounding areas are invited to take advantage of free, one-to-one mathematics support at the Thurles Maths Hub, based at Mary Immaculate College, Thurles, with weekly sessions running from February through April.
The Thurles Maths Hub provides a welcoming drop-in space where students can receive friendly guidance from MIC tutors from the Mathematics and Computer Studies department, whether they are working through homework, revising key topics or simply looking to build confidence in mathematics.

Tutors are available to help students work through maths tasks, strengthen their understanding of concepts and answer questions across a range of topics.
While tutors do not provide homework solutions and sessions are not grinds or topic-specific classes, the focus is on encouraging students to develop problem-solving skills and a stronger sense of confidence in their own abilities.
The Maths Hub will run on Wednesdays from 5pm to 7pm in G14 at MIC Thurles, conveniently located just inside the main entrance.
The service is open to all secondary school students, and no appointment is necessary.
