RIP: Tributes paid as funeral details announced for man killed in Tipperary road accident

'It was with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Pat Kinane who tragically lost his life following a road accident on Thursday, February 19'

The Hillwalking Radio Club have posted the following message of condolence to the late Paddy (Pat) Kinane, Ardlamon, Tipperary, who died following a tragic road accident.

"It was with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Pat Kinane who tragically lost his life following a road accident on Thursday, February 19.

"Pat was a good friend of our Club and a member of the Galtee Walking Club. He was a character, full of life and humour and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

"We send our condolences to his family, friends, and work colleagues. May He Rest In Peace."

Pat is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Eileen and is sadly missed by his loving family; cherished brother of Bernard (Boston), Noreen and Ailbe (Limerick) and Sile (Copenhagen), sisters-in-law Mary and Elaine, nieces Helena and partner Robert Piwonski, Catriona and husband Andrew Moloney and Ella, nephews Tom, Ben and Liam, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Pat's remains reposed at Whelan's Funeral Home, Bansha Road, Tipperary on Tuesday evening February 24 2026, with Requiem Mass in St Michael's Church, Tipperary on Wednesday, February 25 2026, followed by burial afterwards in St Michael's Cemetery Tipperary Town.
