According to the notice in the Mullinahone Community Notes, a number of near misses have occurred in and around the village, raising concerns for the safety of both those on foot or bicycles and other road users.
The message urges people to wear high-visibility clothing while walking or cycling, both day and night.
The reminder comes against the backdrop of recent fatalities on roads elsewhere, with the note stressing that there has already been enough heartache without adding further pain for families.
