Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for the coming week with change on the way
After an unsettled start to the week, there is another change on the way for the weather in Ireland according to the latest weather forecast from Met Eireann.
According to Met Eireann, the unsettled weather will stay until Thursday when a change of air mass is set to bring a return of colder and wintry weather with a wind chill factor set to make it feel even colder.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, tonight will be dry apart from isolated showers. Long clear spells will develop and it will turn cold with frost developing and ice possible in places. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees in light to moderate northerly winds.
Monday will be generally dry and sunny with just a little patchy cloud. Cool with highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in moderate northerly winds, backing westerly and easing later.
Cold early on Monday night with some frost, especially in eastern areas. Overnight, cloud will increase and southwest winds will freshen with outbreaks of rain moving into West and Northwest. Lows of -1 to + 4 degrees, coldest during the first half of the night.
According to Met Eireann, overnight rain will quickly extend countrywide on Tuesday however, a clearance to sunny spells and well scattered showers will follow from the Northwest during the morning. Highs of 8 to 11 degrees with fresh southwest winds, veering northwesterly as the early morning rain clears.
It will be mostly dry and clear on Tuesday night with light west to southwest breezes. Some frost with set in with lows of 0 to 4 degrees.
According to Met Eireann, Wednesday will start with crisp sunshine in parts to begin. However, outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move into the West and Southwest during the morning, extending countrywide in turn through the afternoon and evening. Overall dull with hill, mist and coastal fog. Humid with highs of 9 to 11 degrees, in moderate to fresh southerly winds.
Wet and rather windy on Wednesday night with spot flooding and fresh and gusty west to southwest winds. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecat for Ireland, Thursday will be a cooler day as a change of air mass sets in. The last of any overnight rain will give way to sunny spells and blustery showers, some turning wintry. Highs of 5 to 8 degrees with an added wind chill factor owing to fresh and gusty westerly winds.
