ALERT: Weather forecast ahead of Cheltenham predicts 'wetter than normal' conditions

"Cheltenham had 12.2mm of rain Sunday up to 6.30pm but NOT a lot more expected before Tuesday."

The week ahead - with the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival set to get underway - will be "milder and wetter than normal", says forecaster Alan O'Reilly. 
"Sadly the hope of a settled spell is long gone. A risk of some high rainfall totals in parts of Southwest on some models too, one to watch. Breezy at times too, especially Tuesday.
"Cheltenham had 12.2mm of rain Sunday up to 6.30pm but not a lot more expected before Tuesday.
"Next weekend uncertain yet but at present looks mixed with showers and possibly breezy."
