St Oliver’s Clonmel holding fundraising walk this Friday night

The 4-mile walk begins at the parish centre, adjacent to the church, and proceeds along the Heywood Road and the Western Road past the Park Hotel before returning to the parish centre via the by-pass road.

Registration is at 6.30 and the walk begins at 7pm. Tea and refreshments will be served when walkers return.

All donations are welcome and sponsorship cards are available from Jimmy Moloney or the parish office.

Foals, rush in

Only Foals and Horses, an amazing display of paintings by Cork equine artist Tony O’Connor, has been extended by public demand to Saturday, July 6th.

Two demos by Tony will be given in the Arts Centre at 12 noon and 3pm.

Please book in as soon as possible at 052-6127877 as space is very limited.

Art/craft Camps with Elke and Georgina for children from 4 to 10 years (approximately) will be held on Monday, 1st and Monday, 8th July. The cost is €50 and booking is essential.

The Graffiti Workshop including painting and printing for teenagers with Lesley will continue until this Friday, 28th June. A second workshop will commence on Monday, 29th July with Julie. Booking is essential at 052-6127877.

For guitar classes for 6 years up to and including teenagers and adults contact 086-1942588. The Primary schools photo competition Get Snapping is in the process of being judged at the moment.

On Thursday from 2 to 4pm until the end of July crochet classes (right and left handers) for beginners and improvers are held for adults and teenagers. Join in at anytime.

Pool resources

Dolphin Swimming Club will hold a fundraising dance at The Coachman, Parnell Street, Clonmel on Friday, June 28 from 9.30pm - 12.30am.

Music is by The Legends and admission is €6. Finger food will be provided.

Team completes marathon cycle

Congratulations are due to the Clonmel Marks and Spencer’s team including captain, Mick Gavin; Paul Caplice, Chris Conway and Paul O’Hora who completed the Bike 24, a marathon 24 hour cycle last weekend at the Rockingham Motorsport Circuit in Northamptonshire, England.

The event was in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation.
