Tipperary’s tourism has experienced sustained growth according to Tipperary County Council.
The council has been working closely with Fáilte Ireland and business stakeholders to promote the county as a key destination for leisure and sports.
Tipperary Tourism CLG, a marketing and industry development group has held three meetings to-date in an effort to develop and promote Tipperary as a leading visitor destination.

The Board of Directors, consisting of tourism industry representatives from across Tipperary, provides
strategic direction and is supported by Tipperary County Council with operational guidance.
The year-end meeting which takes place in December will focus on planning priorities for 2025 with the key initiatives outlined including Munster Vales and the Lough Derg tourism programmes which are a collaborative piece with adjoining local authorities.
The initiatives are led by dedicated marketing officers based in Tipperary County Council.
The highlight of this quarter for destination was Lough Derg and Quest Lough Derg featured
1,200 registered participants and an audience of 650–700 people.
Additionally, during this quarter, the highlight for Munster Vales was featuring on At Your Service on RTÉ. Tipperary’s tourism team continue to collaborate with Kildare County Council and Failte Ireland in relation to the Thoroughbred Country 5-year Destination Experience Plan which was developed to drive and sustain tourism in Kildare and Tipperary by developing new and enhanced visitor horse related experiences across both counties.
Two applications have also been approved with €300k grant offer within Thurles Md for the development of accommodation, and the second grant allocation of €59,000 for the enhancement of e-bike tourism within Carrick MD.
The Tourism Activator developed a guide to Sustainable Tourism Networks located in Tipperary, new tourism providers will benefit from collaborating with their local tourism network, Sustainable Tourism Networks within Tipperary play a pivotal role in enhancing, marketing and developing visitor experiences throughout the county.
