The team from Lisvernane qualified for the Analog Devices robotics finals
A group of Tipperary students have qualified for the finals of a major robotics competition.
The group from Lisvernane National School qualified for the final of the Analog Devices robotics competition.
The Tipperary group, made up of students Doireann Moloney, Anya O'Mahony, Faye Murphy, and Anna May Chapman will head to the final with their project under the theme of submerged.
This year's theme tasked students with designing a concept for a submarine that could explore the oceans, from the Sunlight Zone all the way down to the mysterious Abyssal Zone.

The Lisvernane students balanced their schoolwork and extracurricular activities, committing numerous weekends and after-school hours to prepare for the challenging competition.
The Analog Devices Robotics Competition, which is sponsored by Analog Devices, is an annual event that encourages creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
Team member Doireann Moloney said: “it’s been a lot of hard work, but we’ve enjoyed every moment. Working together with the support of our teachers and friends has made it all possible.

"We’re so excited to have qualified for the finals, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us," she added.
This marks a major milestone for the team, as it is their first year participating in the competition, the Tipperary school said.
The team is now preparing for the final stage of the competition, where they will face off against other talented teams from across the region.
