Tipperary is set to get €5million in funding for social housing
Tipperary will get €5million for social housing needs this year, it has been confirmed.
Tipperary County Council will get funding, including Capital Funding allocations, in respect of the second-hand social housing acquisitions programme for 2025.
The funding also includes provision for new build social homes.
North Tipperary TD Michael Lowry said that the funding allocation shows the Government's commitment to new build social housing as well as increasing the overall social housing supply.

"Government has set ambitious targets for New-Build Social Housing in the Programme for Government of an average 12,000 homes per annum out to 2030.
"In order to meet this ambition, it needs to scale up supply. These approvals represent a further expansion of the new-build social housing pipeline," Deputy Lowry said.
