Bansha's Dee Morrissey took home the Gene Stuart Music Inspirational Award
A Tipperary country music singer has scooped a major award at the Hot Country TV Awards.
Bansha's Dee Morrissey took home the Gene Stuart Music Inspirational Award at the recent ceremony held in Bundoran, county Donegal.
The Tipperary singer tours across Ireland and Europe, and recently took the reins as Mistress of Ceremonies (MC) of the Tipperary Town St Patrick's Day Parade.

Ms Morrissey also supports younger singers in the area, giving them a platform to perform with her at shows across the length and breadth of the country.
In a post on social media, the Bansha singer said she was not expecting to be honoured on the night.
"What a wonderful night we are having at the Hot Country TV awards up here in Donegal.

"I’m so honoured to have received an award tonight. What a lovely surprise," she wrote.
