Tipperary church opens its doors for a weekend Mass for first time in over a month

St Patrick's Church, Cullen opened its doors for a weekend Mass for the first time in over a month on Sunday. 

The occasion was a very special one, as local missionary priest Father Sean Horan, who has devoted his life to the mission fields of Brazil, celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of his ordination.

He was joined by his family, neighbours and friends together with three other members of the Holy Ghost Order from Cork, Tuam and Tipperary Town.

During the course of his homily, Father Sean spoke of his pastoral work in South America and of his intention to return there again at the end of the month.

A feature of the Mass was the beautiful singing of the Lattin and Cullen choir.

After the ceremony, everyone was invited to the Ballykisteen Hotel for refreshments and the opportunity to renew old friendships.
