The Newport Olympian lines out over 400 metres in Spain this evening
Tipperary's Sharlene Mawdsley returns to action this evening when she competes in the women's 400 metres at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting in Madrid.
The Newport athlete heads to Spain in outstanding form, having enjoyed a breakthrough season on the international circuit. Mawdsley has lowered her personal best on four separate occasions already this year, with her latest improvement seeing her clock an impressive 50.06 seconds.
The Olympian will be hoping to continue that upward trajectory in the Spanish capital as she takes on another strong international field.
