High number of patients on trolleys at South Tipperary General Hospital

Cork, Limerick and Clonmel hospitals top the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation's trolley and ward watch figures on Wednesday.

25 people are on trolleys and 16 are on the ward at South Tipperary General Hospital today (Wednesday, March 28).

Only Cork University Hospital (61) and University Hospital Limerick (60) have more on trolleys and wards than the Clonmel hospital.

The total number of those on trolleys and the ward at South Tipperary General Hospital has risen by 12 people in the space of a week.

In total, there are over 539 people on trolleys and wards across Ireland on Wednesday. Other hospitals to note include University Hospital Waterford (28) and St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny (21).
