Following on from Tipperary’s monumental victory over Kilkenny in last Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-final, spirits remain high across the Premier County.
However, attention has quickly shifted to the impending face-off against Cork to decide the winner of this year’s championship.
Cork are considered the favourites of the two teams heading into the final, having beaten Tipperary already in a final this year, when they clinched the Allianz League title back in April.
A penalty shootout victory over Limerick in the Munster Championship final further goes to steady the odds in their favour.
This meeting of the two Munster giants will be the first time the sides will ever meet in an All-Ireland hurling final.
Tipperary head into the final looking to add a 29th title to their name, and increase their record of having won an All-Ireland title in every decade since the formation of the GAA, while Cork are looking to end the longest title drought in their history, which extends back to 2005.
The match will take place on Sunday, July 20, in Croke Park.
The game is scheduled for throw-in at 3:30pm.

The game will be shown live on RTÉ 2 and streamed live online on RTÉ Player.
Live radio coverage for the match will also be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1.
According to figures shared by sports journalist Daniel Hussey, a total of 59,212 tickets will go to county allocations, which include the finalist counties.
Beyond county allocations, the remaining tickets are divided across a wide range of categories:
- 10,528 are set aside for Premium & Corporate attendees
- 2,594 for Season Ticket holders
- and 2,358 for Term Ticket holders.
In addition, there are allocations for schools (1,666), sponsors (1,250), and GAA officials, including 800 for Ard Chomhairle and former presidents.
Others receiving tickets include international GAA clubs (480), provinces (380), referees, media, and even Croke Park residents (200).
Tickets in the stands come at a cost of €100 each, with tickets in Hill 16 coming in cheaper at €55.
