Ireland’s Fittest Family Final: Which families are competing in the season finale?
After weeks of intense competition, Ireland’s Fittest Family Season 11 is reaching its pinnacle with the highly anticipated final set against the iconic backdrop of Dublin Port this Sunday, December 17 on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
The showdown promises to be thrilling as only four families out of the initial sixteen have made it to the final.
The remaining families include Sonia’s Byrnes family from Tipperary, Donncha’s Stratford family from Cavan, the Bonnar family from Waterford and Nina’s Murphy family from Carlow.
Following The Big Liffey Race the families will endure the classic Back Against the Wall challenge.
The stakes are high as the bottom two families will engage in The Eliminator, with the losing family bidding farewell to the competition.
Three families then face another classic, Hanging Tough, and only two families will make it through the Grand Final where the winner is crowned Ireland’s Fittest Family 2023.
The action-packed season took the families to various locations, from the picturesque Rathbeggan Lakes in county Meath for the Heats, to the brand-new setting of Finnegan’s Farm in Meath for the quarter-finals, and the challenging terrain of Hell & Back in Kilruddery, county Wicklow, for the semi-finals.
Throughout the season, the coaches have been relentless in their pursuit of victory. Newcomer Sonia O’Sullivan, with her Olympic credentials, is determined to make a strong debut and upset the workings.
While Davy Fitzgerald is on the sidelines, Nina Carberry is on the hunt for the win and with Donncha O’Callaghan with two families in the final, the competition is tough.
Presented by Laura Fox, this season’s final promises unparalleled excitement as Dublin Port becomes the ultimate battleground for a series of epic events designed to push the families to their limits.
Only one family will emerge victorious and be crowned Ireland’s Fittest Family 2023.
Ireland’s Fittest Family Season 11 Grand Final will air on December 17 at 6:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
