Ronan Keating had a very short but cutting response to questions about Louis Walsh's recent Celebrity Big Brother outbursts about him when the former Boyzone singer appeared on the RTE Late Late Show on Friday night.

The pair have fallen out in recent years despite Louis managing the band during their success and host Patrick Kielty asked Ronan directly about Louis' recent comments about him in the Big Brother house.

One of Louis' Big Brother co-stars mentioned Ronan was "the most successful" member of Boyzone before Louis interrupted, "then, nothing?" claiming Keating hasn't had a hit since he left the scene as manager.

"I met him in the Four Seasons. He said 'maaaaan' - he had gone all American by that point, I think he met George Michael or something. He said 'maaaan, I don't want to be a karaoke artist anymore. I said 'that what you f****n are!" Do you realise how much time I put into them?"

In an earlier jibe, Louis described Ronan as a "pr**k", adding, "Everybody thinks he’s a lovely guy, do you know what I mean? He hasn’t had a hit record since I left. He sacked me."

Asked about the comments on the Late Late Show, Ronan was reluctant to comment, saying, "I've never been one to air my dirty laundry in public, especially when it comes to Louis and myself and he does a very good job of that. I think he's shown his true colours in there and I'll leave him be."

Ronan then received a huge round of applause.

Louis left the Big Brother on Friday night after finishing fourth in the final. Ibiza Weekender star David Potts was named the winner.
