Tipperary's 2 Johnnies share answer when asked about representing Ireland at Eurovision
Tipperary comedy and broadcasting duo the 2 Johnnies have hinted that they've been asked to represent Ireland at Eurovision.
Johnny B and Johnny Smacks were discussing the topic with Cork-born singer Lyra who joined them for a chat on their hugely popular podcast.
In a quickfire question round, Johnny B asked Lyra if she would ever do Eurovision, to which she replied, "probably not." She then said she would write a song for it but maybe wouldn't go herself.
The lads said "we get asked that as well" with Johnny Smacks saying, "it's the same answer from us," suggesting that they wouldn't be tempted to do Eurovision.
Johnny B then pushed Lyra to find out if she had been officially asked to enter before, and she said "yeah."
The 2 Johnnies didn't reveal if they had been officially asked or not.
The lads have already performed with a Eurovision star in the shape of Mickey Joe Harte who represented Ireland after winning RTE's talent show You're A Star in 2003.
He performed Mysterious Girl remotely with the lads back during lockdown in 2020 with the clip racking up over 60,000 views on YouTube.
