The late Nora Butler
On Saturday last there was a very special concert held in Brú Ború in remembrance of renowned singer Nora Butler.
Nora, who passed away on 3rd May 2020, was a lifelong member of Comhaltas and an integral part of the Brú Ború Cultural Centre and their performance group.
Her passing came as a terrible shock to so many and happened during the early stages of the Covid pandemic when people could not attend Nora’s funeral and pay their respects to Nora as they would have so wished.
At the concert Nora was remembered and celebrated through performances from the Brú Ború performance group and special guests.
All proceeds from the night will go to the Irish Kidney Association.
