Country star Derek Ryan has enjoyed huge success over the past year or so following the release of his highly acclaimed debut album.
The release has enjoyed extensive airplay on over 300 radio stations across Ireland and the UK with stand out self penned songs like ‘Gods Plan’, ‘Mothers Son’ and the ‘Belle of Liverpool’ gaining hit status almost instantly.
On the back of Derek’s rise to prominence, he preformed ‘I saw the Light’ on The Late Late Show, where host Ryan Tubridy predicted a great future success for this Carlow born star who is taking the country dance scene by storm.
Derek’s brand new single, the very catchy ‘It’s Friday’ is now on release and plans are already in place for a follow up album at the end of the year.
It’s a dream come true for the young Carlow star to now have a full time professional band on the road.
“Country Music has always been in my heart and I can’t wait to travel all over the country performing live shows with my band,” he told The Nationalist this week.
You can catch Derek Ryan when he makes a much anticipated return visit to The Times Hotel in Tipperary town on this coming Sunday night, October 7.
