Last Sunday was all about rivers and mountains for the members of South Tipp Cycling Club.

Nine riders with South Tipp Cycling Club went out for a scenic spin around the Nire Valley and multiple crossings of the Suir.

They had plenty of climbing to kick the spring training into high gear.

From Ardfinnan to Newcastle, through the Nire Mountains to Kilsheelan, on to Clonmel for a (very welcome) coffee break before facing into Knocklofty Hill and home.

There was 694 meters of climbing over a 65km route and a perfect spring day for it with riders shedding the winter layers during the journey! Come join us next week with a 9:30am departure from St Paul’s in Clogheen.
