The Lust for Life art exhibition showcasing the work of the artists of Haywood Lodge in Clonmel will be displayed at Carrick-on-Suir Library from next Wednesday May 1 to May 17 as part of the national Bealtaine Festival.
Carrick Library said Haywood Lodge residents over the age of 60 and nursing staff are over the moon to be taking part in the Bealtaine Festival.
The Haywood Road artists said they took full advantage of the 40th anniversary of the Punk revolution and let their inner rebels loose.
“No t-shirts or furniture were spared as we dyed, pinned and ripped our passion out. We had fun and reminisced on a time we knew about, read about but being in rural Ireland - we really didn’t get to play a true part in this culture until now.”
