Stay Connected keyrings with a QR code charm that links you to local addiction support services were handed out at the campaign’s substance misuse education and awareness workshops.
The #Stay Connected keyring is in the shape of a red ribbon inspired by the annual Red Ribbon week in the US that promotes living a drug free life.
The ribbon has a hand linking another hand symbolising the campaign’s message to young people of the importance of staying connected to loved ones and friends.
The Lions Club motto ‘We Serve’ is featured on the keyring along with the campaign name.
The QR code is in the form of a 3D printed charm attached to the keyring and links to the Stay Connected project web page and information about the addiction support services available locally.

A limited edition of 75 of the keyrings were created by Comeragh College Transition Year student Heath Gleeson who has a student 3D printing enterprise called Print3DbyH.
They were kindly sponsored by Professor John Nolan of Now Science Consultancy in Waterford and his wife Jane. The Stay Connected campaign hopes to secure further sponsorship to produce more of the information keyrings.
