The late Jack Power who died in Bali
A young Tipperary father - described as a “kind and gentle person” - has died suddenly in Bali.
Jack Power of Meadowbrook Avenue, Maynooth, county Kildare and late of Carrick-on-Suir, county Tipperary, passed away on June 5, 2025, suddenly, in Bali.

Deeply regretted by his loving mother Caroline, father Owen, beautiful daughter Melania, loving sister Anastasia, brothers Harry and Conor, grandparents Helen and Gerry, uncles, aunts, niece, nephew, cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be updated later, his death notice on rip.ie reads.
Members of the family have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds to bring Jack home for burial.
Local councillor David Dunne said the death of Jack had shocked the people of Carrick-on-Suir.
“Jack comes from a big family in Carrick-on-Suir and I would like to extend my sympathy to all of the family following this tragedy of a young man passing away outside of the country,” said Cllr Dunne.
He understood that Jack was living in England before moving to Bali.
“The family have set up a fund to bring him home and hopefully the people oF the town will be very supportive of them,” said Cllr Dunne.
People have been posting tributes to Jack online, saying:
- Deepest condolences to Caroline, his brothers and sister his Nanny Helen and all his family, he was always a lovely boy, gone too soon, rest well Jack.
