Cashel’s community spirit was well and truly on show this week with immense support for Scoil Chormaic’s ‘Bop for the Buses’ fundraiser.
The 12-hour event included story-time, face painting, field day activities, a vantastic gaming van, and golfing and hurling games.
Hosted by Cashel Rugby Club, Deputy Michael Lowry said the event was “an outstanding success by management, staff, and parents alike”.
The funds raised from the days activities will be used to replace the existing internal bus fleet for the school.

These wheelchair accessible buses are needed to bring the kids on adventure trips and help them to reach their full potential.
“I’m sure the massive generosity, support, and goodwill will make a difference to all the pupils and staff at this special place.
“Well done to all involved with an exceptional achievement,” Deputy Lowry concluded.
Local councillor Liam Browne echoed Deputy Lowry’s praise of the fundraiser, highlighting in particular Cashel Rugby Club’s generosity.
“I can’t put into words how helpful and community minded it is offering their facilities for events like this, well done to Pat and everyone else involved. It should be an annual family day event.”
