Explore the art of songs and songwriting at Cashel Library

Explore the art of songwriting at a playshop at Cashel Library as part of National Heritage Week.

In a 2-hour playshop, facilitated by Purple Roses - the folk duo Marie Walsh & Jane McLoughlin, you are invited to think about where songs come from. It will be held at Cashel Library on Wednesday, August 20 from 2pm to 4 pm.

You will hear about what it is really like to write a song and learn how easy it is to create one of your own.

If you have a song you are working on, then please bring it with you (totally optional).

All welcome i.e. no experience necessary at all in songwriting. It will be a really positive session. They say everyone has a book in them. We believe everyone has a song in them too.

This is a free event but places are limited.
