Tributes have poured in for a young Tipperary man who tragically died abroad.
Damian (Damo) Dempsey of Eustaceland, Clonmel, Kilsheelan, suddenly died abroad on June 22.
Since the tragic news broke out, tributes have been pouring for the young man who has been described as a gentleman.
“Sincere condolences to Roisin, Finn, Rian and all the Dempsey family on your very sad loss. Damien was a great supporter of our academy and no doubt was a very positive influence on the determination and footballing abilities of Finn and Rian. May Damien Rest In Peace,” wrote Kilmacthomas AFC in tribute.

“Sincere condolences to Geraldine, Eugene and family and to Tommy and Mary on the very sad passing of Damien. Lovely memories of him playing GAA and a gentleman always. May Damien Rest in Peace,” someone wrote in tribute.
“On behalf of the KBK Sportsfield Committee we would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Dempsey family following the tragic passing of Damian on the 22nd of June. We would like to particularly offer our condolences to his mother Geraldine and father Eugene (who has been a committee member for years), brothers Aaron and Darragh, sister Amy, his partner Roisin, sons Rian & Finn and grandparents Mary & Tommy. May he rest in peace,” wrote Kilcash Ballypatrick Killarney Sportsfield in tribute.
Pre-deceased by his grandparents Biddy and Oliver Dempsey. Damian will be sadly missed and his short life will never be forgotten by his heartbroken parents Geraldine and Eugene, brothers Aaron and Darragh, sister Amy, Daniel, grandparent’s Mary and Tommy, his partner Roisin and boys Rian and Finn, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and his wide circle of friends who he loved dearly.
May Damian's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace
Reposing at home (E91HR66) on Sunday, July 7 from 4pm to 7.30pm. Funeral mass to take place on Monday, July 8 at 12pm at St. John The Baptist Church, Kilcash (E91A4E9) followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Mass will be live-streamed here.
The family has asked for the house to remain private on Monday.
