Irish Language Youth Club has returned to school in Tipperary

There are two clubs, one for younger people (ages 10-12) which runs from 6.30-8pm and the older club (ages 13-18), which operates from 7.30-9pm

Cumann na bhFiann has announced the return of the Irish Language Youth Club for another year.

A broad range of activities are organised during the club including sports, games, art, drama and music.

Not only do the young people have fun at the club, but they also get the opportunity to use the Irish they have in an enjoyable environment, while picking up new words and phrases as they go.

The club builds the young people’s confidence, both in their use of the language and in themselves, as they gain personal, social and creative skills through fun, active participation in a safe environment.

The club is held in the Sisters of Charity School in Mary Street, Clonmel on Wednesday evening and there are two clubs, one for younger people (ages 10-12) which runs from 6.30-8pm and the older club (ages 13-18), which operates from 7.30-9pm.

The club recommenced last month and will continue until April.

All new members are welcome.
