Royseven singer Paul Walsh to team up with a Tipperary choir for a special concert

Paul Walsh will join the Uproar choir for a special concert in Clonmel

The first public rendition of a beautiful Clonmel anthem written by Roseven lead singer Paul Walsh will take place this Friday evening.

On a special night of a celebration of song the Clonmel man will join forces with the Uproar Choir for a Songs for a Winter’s Night concert.

The concert will be held at Old St Mary’s Church (doors opening at 7pm).
Funds raised at the concert will be donated to Cuan Saor.

Paul was delighted to take up the invitation from Eamon O’Malley to perform with the Clonmel choir and is looking forward to playing some new material that he is working on.

He has written a new solo album, and his nostalgic song about growing up in Clonmel, is one of the songs on that album. Paul is also halfway through writing material for a new Royseven album.
Paul is looking forward to presenting his new solo material in front of a Clonmel audience for the first time.

“This is may way of getting th esongs out there because you learn a lot about the songs before you record them,” said Paul.
He is delighted to get the opportunity to work with an ensemble to play those songs and he feels the Uproir members bring something special to the Clonmel song.

“There is a lovely feel about the choir. Singing is therapeutic and there is a great power about singing with such a combination of voices,” said Paul Walsh.

“I have been testing myself with these songs recently.I played them at the Ruby Sessions venue in Dublin and they went down really well, so I am looking forward to seeing what kind of reaction they get in Clonmel,” he said.
