Tipperary have been dealt a double injury setback ahead of the opening rounds of the championship, with both Josh Keller and Sean Kenneally facing spells on the sidelines.
Keller is set to miss the first two games of the campaign after picking up a knee injury in training, but more concerning, however, is the news surrounding Kenneally.
The injury the Moneygall man sustained in the recent clash with Kilkenny has proven more serious than first feared. Initially expected to be a shorter-term issue, further assessment has ruled him out for up to 12 weeks.
That timeline would see Kenneally miss a significant portion of the championship, leaving a notable gap in Tipperary’s setup during a crucial period of the season.
The injuries present an early challenge for the management team as they look to build momentum, with squad depth now set to be tested in the weeks ahead.
