A session taking place at Raheen House in Clonmel
The county Tipperary Fleadh got off to a great start last weekend with music and Community events taking place.
Bright and early Saturday morning branch members were out in force to take over Clonmel Park run with junior members of Powerstown/Lisronagh branch playing some lovely tunes to send the runners on their way.

A huge number turned out to run or walk the 5km along the beautiful Suirway.
That night saw a lively session in The Princess bar in Irishtown with neighbouring branches Cahir, Cashel and Kilcash.
Tunes were plentiful and enjoyed by all who came along to listen.
Lucy and Tim made sure that all the musicians were well fed to keep the music flowing.
A great way to kick start the week of culture, music and events.
Sunday morning Mass was celebrated by Fr Peter Ahearne in Powerstown Church.
Fr Ahearne wished the branch and all those taking part in the week long events every good wish and blessings for the Fleadh.
The Choir and Junior branch members enhanced the celebration through their Irish songs and traditional music.
Raheen House hotel was the venue for the ‘Second Sunday Steady Session’ for improver and intermediate adult musicians.
Thanks to Ed Morrissey for hosting the session and providing refreshments for the musicians.
There are plenty more events taking place during the week, culminating in the county Tipperary Fleadh competitions at the weekend in the Gaelcholáiste.
Music and dance will take place on the streets of Clonmel, the Main Guard and at the Plaza on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be sessions and gigs in many of the pubs in town over the weekend.

The big event of the weekend is the gig rig at the Main Guard with RUAILE BUAILE with support act Ceolan, kicking off at 7pm.
