Lidl planning application for new Tipperary development on supermarket site

Lidl has made a planning application for a new Tipperary development on its supermarket site on Queen Street in Clonmel

The German retailer is looking for a change of use at the Clonmel site for a gym and wellness centre and lodged the application on July 2, 2025. 

In its application to Tipperary County Council, it is seeking the change of use of the ground floor (unit C1) from retail to wellness centre including the consumption of food and beverages on and off the premises.

And, the change of use of the first floor (unit C2: which includes the ground floor lobby area) from office hub to leisure/gym.

And all associated, ancillary works to complete the development.

A decision is due by the council on August 26.
