Uisce Éireann is working to restore normal water to almost 500 homes and businesses in Clonmel following an electrical issue which resulted in an interruption to supply at the Monroe Water Treatment Plant.
Customers in Fethard Road, Boherduff, The Paddocks, Willow Cl, The Wilderness, Northfields, Fairfields, Rathronan, Clonmel and the surrounding areas may experience an interruption to supply as a result.
It is estimated that supply will be restored by midday today.

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “ We understand the inconvenience that unplanned outages can have. Crews have been mobilised since early this morning, and we are working to complete this work as quickly as possible”

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
