The Clonmel music community is coming together for The Vibe for Ritchie, a special night celebrating the life, talent, and legacy of Ritchie Taylor — a musician whose influence, kindness, and craft have left a lasting mark on everyone who played with him and heard him.
The event is not just a tribute to Ritchie, who we lost after a short illness in 2025, but a fundraiser in support of the Tipperary Hospice Movement, whose work directly helps families at a critical time.

Ritchie was more than a talented player; he was a seminal figure in the Clonmel music scene, known for his generosity, kindness and unmistakable talent.
A natural multi-instrumentalist with a standout gift for expressive guitar playing, Ritchie lifted every session, every gig, and every musician around him.
Over the years, he performed with several much-loved local bands, including Mainly Black, Boomerang Staircase, The Café Folk Band, and Blueberry Jamm.

He also toured nationally with artists such as Louise Morrisey and Paul Alabaster & The Prohibition, building a reputation as a versatile, dependable and deeply soulful performer.
This gathering is a chance for the community to come together, share memories, and celebrate Ritchie in the way he would have loved — with guitars tuned, amps warm, and friends all around.
