St Patrick (Legg's Lanigan) with Mary Prenderville
Clonmelwill come alive on Tuesday March 17 as the town celebrates St Patrick’s Day with its annual parade, stepping off at 3:00 pm.
This year’s event promises a lively and colourful celebration filled with music, culture, community spirit, and family-friendly entertainment.

The organising committee is also delighted to announce that the Grand Marshal for the 2026 parade will be Mary Prenderville of the Powerstown/Lisronagh branch of Comhaltas, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
Mary first became involved with the branch over 30 years ago and has been a dedicated member ever since, serving as treasurer for more than 22 years.

Over the years, Mary has been instrumental in nurturing traditional Irish music in the community.
She has been an enthusiastic mentor for young musicians, helping to coordinate sessions and cultural events, and creating an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere where the tradition continues to thrive.
