CREDIT: An Garda Síochána
On Wednesday, as part of an intelligence-led operation, a total of 30kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €600,000, was seized at Shannon Airport.
The seizure were made as a result of a joint operation conducted by An Garda Síochána and Revenue’s Customs Service.
One male, aged in his 20s, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained in a Garda Station in the Clare-Tipperary Division.

The man who was arrested by gardaí is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
