Early indications of strong voter turnout in Carrick-on-Suir Local Electoral Area's largest town

There are early indications of a good turnout of voters in Carrick-on-Suir town, the largest urban area in the Carrick-on-Suir Local Electoral Area.

Turnout at the Carrickbeg Community Centre polling station in the Carrickbeg neighbourhood of Carrick-on-Suir town at just before 1pm was 17.5% with turnout as high as 19.7% at one of the station's two polling booths. This polling station has an electorate of 1,163.

In the rural Ballyneale National School polling station about 6km from Carrick-on-Suir, the voter turnout at 1.30pm was a significantly lower 11.6%. This single booth polling station has an electorate of 431.
