Voter turnout in the Carrick-on-Suir Local Electoral Area election in the local and European elections is estimated to be about 47% with just over an hour and a half left to the close of voting.

Turnout in the two-booth Carrickbeg Community Centre polling station in Carrick-on-Suir town, the largest urban area in Carrick LEA, was 47% as of 7.30pm as the post work surge began to ease off.

This polling station based in the Carrickbeg neighbourhood of Carrick-on-Suir has an electorate of 1,163. 

The rural Ballyneale National School polling station in Ballyneale village about 6km from Carrick-on-Suir recorded a voter turnout of 46.54%  as of 8pm. This single-booth polling station has an electorate of 434.
