The Tipperary TD retained his seat with 12,538 votes

BREAKING: Michael Lowry elected to Tipperary North on the first count

Michael Lowry has been re-elected to the Dáil for the tenth time in a row.

The Tipperary TD managed to retain his seat after securing 12,538 votes on the first count in Thurles.

Lowry's surplus of 1,096 will now be distributed amongst the other candidates.

The quota was 11,442.
