Gardaí are investigating the damaging of a large Christmas lights decoration in Clonmel town centre and handrail at the new plaza in the town’s former Kickham Army Barracks.
Vandals bent out of shape the Christmas globe style lights decoration at the entrance to Mitchel Street on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31.
A handrail at the new civic plaza at the former Kickham Barracks was also bent out of shape sometime between New Year’s Eve and Tuesday, January 3.
A Clonmel Garda Station spokesperson appealed to anyone who witnessed these vandalism incidents, saw people acting suspiciously in both locations or has any information that may assist their investigation to contact the station at (052) 6177640.
