The lights are switched off now but thanks to people of Cahir for their Christmas generosity

Cahir Development CLG thank most sincerely the people who made it possible for us to ‘Light Up Cahir’ for Christmas.

As we have now come to the end of the Christmas season for 2022 and the Christmas lights are switched off again for another year Cahir Development CLG want to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely the following people who made it possible for us to ‘Light Up Cahir’ for Christmas.

Firstly thank you to Tipperary County Council for their grant of €5,000. Thank you once again to the traders and local businesses that came up trumps with their annual contributions.

And thanks also to all the people who donated through our Go Fund Me Page.

Thanks to the members of the community who dropped donations to the Enterprise Centre and to all the members of the community who bought a raffle ticket for our Hamper fundraiser in SuperValu, we thank you also. To the Cahir Meet and Train Group who courageously ran on a very cold morning to raise funds, we thank you also and to all the local clubs who gave donations a big thanks to you too.

We appreciate that you are all inundated with requests for donations throughout the year but without your fantastic support we would not be able to light up our town. We have plans to extend the lighting throughout the town as well as some very exciting ideas going forward for this year and again with your help, we have no doubt this can all be achieved.

We wish a happy and healthy New Year to every member of the community for 2023.
