Thurles students make a very generous donation to children in Uganda

Pres Thurles second-year Students from Naomh Tomás organise GAA Gear collection for Ugandan school children

Well done to all of the students in Naomh Tomás (second-year), who ran a very successful campaign to collect old GAA gear.

Many thanks to everyone who generously donated helmets, boots, hurleys, sliotars, shin guards, jerseys, socks and gloves for the Ugandan primary school children.

Their CSPE teacher, Ms Róisín Ryan, delivered the impressive collection to the Cúltec company in Co Meath at the weekend, where it will be shipped to Uganda to very excited school children.

Contributed to School Days in the Tipperary Star.
