St Marys Hurling Club in Clonmel opened up last Saturday morning to a dreadful act of vandalism as seating in their pitch side stand was almost completely destroyed overnight.
A large proportion of the seating on the Albert Street side of the grounds was badly damaged and the club have contacted the Clonmel gardaí over the incident.
Unfortunately the Sportsfield was once again the subject of wanton vandalism.

Due to the location of the field, the club has had trouble over the years in keeping people out of the grounds after hours and there have been cases of club property being stolen or damaged over the years, but nothing to this extent according to club officials.
The club are also appealing to the general public to call the gardaí if they have any information about the incident, and they have urged should they witness any persons causing vandalism.
