Hotel Minella in Clonmel, which will be the venue for the awards
The All-Ireland Community & Council Awards, run by the Local Authority Members Association, will be hosted for the first time outside Dublin in Clonmel in April.
Hotel Minella will be the venue for the gala awards ceremony on Saturday, April 15.
" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ardfinnan Cllr Micheál Anglim, who is LAMA’s current chairman, encouraged fellow councillors at Tipperary County Council’s February meeting to nominate community groups and initiatives they believe could win one of the award scheme’s competition categories.
Next Wednesday, March 1 is the deadline date for submitting nominations. Awards categories range from Community Initiatives, Environmental Initiatives and Economic Development Initiatives to Facility/Infrastructure Initiativesand Collaboration & Leadership Initiatives.
Cllr Anglim pointed out there will be special reduced price tickets for this year’s awards ceremony for community nominees.
