HURLING UPDATES AS IT HAPPENS: Tipp versus Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds is a cliffhanger

Full time after 75 mins: Tipperary 0-25 Limerick 1-28

Limerick worthy winners. Tipp battled hard. Late on Barry Murphy pointed for Limerick. Cian Lynch with a stunning point from centre field. Subs took the intensity out of the game along with constant frees being blown. Limerick win to much joy from supporters. 

72mins: Tipperary 0-25 Limerick 1-26

Tipp hurling well now. Jason Forde point from a free. Not giving it to Limerick easily. John McGrath made a big impact. Conor Bowe winning primary ball. Limerick haven't scored nor made a late impact. William O Donoghue off injured. 

54mins: Tipperary 0-22 Limerick 1-26

Tipp challenge has fallen away to a powerful Limerick surge. Conor Bowe on now for Tipp. Richie English on for Limerick. Jason Forde points to give Tipp hope but Limerick in control 

59mins: Tipperary 0-20 Limerick 1-23

Casey goal for Limerick. Looks like game over. Limerick cruising with the subs who are serious additions. Tipp foraging for possession. John McGrath on. Scores badly needed by Tipp to stay in the game. Limerick ringing the changes and they are getting stronger as a result

54mins: Tipperary 0-19 Limerick 0-23

Gearoid O Connor point from the open stand side for Liam Cahills team. Limerick changes see Gearoid Hegarty and Michael Houlihan come on. Tipp changes see Mark Kehoe and Enda Heffernan come on. Points from Limerick Colin Coughlan and Byrnes. John McGrath is warming up for Tipp!! Still all to play for but Limerick in control now as Dec Hannon points from the number six position. 

46mins: Tipperary 0-18 Limerick 0-19

Big turn around. Two in a row for Limerick and Alan Tynan down with a knock for Tipp. Tipp still hurling well but Limerick intensity levels are much higher and the home crowd is deafening. Game slowly turning

43mins: Tipperary 0-18 Limerick 0-17

Gillane points from a free for Limerick from the right side. Gillane points from a free for Limerick from the left side. 

41mins: Tipperary 0-18 Limerick 0-15

Intensity again. Limerick sharpish this time. Well worked point from Casey all the way to Cian Lynch after passes galore leads to a stand lifting roar. Another two quick ones, one from way out west from Tom Morrissey, sees Limerick level. Jason Forde keeps Tipp noses in front and Alan Tynan with a huge score from play adds to it but the green wave has hit

Half Time: Tipperary 0-16 Limerick 0-12

Intense first half, real battling from both sides. Tipp taking the initiative and did very well. Chance for everyone to catch their breath!!!

33mins: Tipperary 0-16 Limerick 0-12

Ironic cheers when Limerick get a free for a challenge on Cian Lynch. Diarmuid Byrnes points. Noel McGrath lording it for Tipp. Forde unerring. Limerick playing second fiddle currently. Half Limerick goal chance is pulled on but Casey gconnects with Breen resulting in a free out. 

27min: Tipperary 0-15 Limerick 0-11 Two in  a row Jason Forde frees for Tipp. Diarmuid Byrnes long range free for Limerick. Tom Morrissey from play. Real bite in the game. Tipp getting frees that bit easier. Limerick still well in it despite Tipps lead. Limerick supporters not happy with some calls. Injury to Cathal O'Neill is the first real stoppage in the game, he is up and running now.

20mins: Tipperary 0-12 Limerick 0-8

Big rally from Tipperary led by the captain Noel McGrath. Alan Tynan with a great point on the run. Seamus Kennedy point too and Alan Tynan. Diarmuid Byrnes responds with a point from the wing. Peter Casey on the run from centre forward. Cracking game, full of great scores with a responsive crowd. Eleven points so far for Jason Forde who is sharp on frees. Real needle to the game 

11mins: Tipperary 0-6 Limerick 0-5

Jason Forde and Alan Tynan to the fore for Tipp with scores then Jake Morris puts Tipp one up. 

4mins: Tipperary 0-2 Limerick 0-2

two Jason Forde frees in responce to Limerick scores. 

7.30pm .. Throw in time.... Limerick and Tipp battle at the start for supremacy from the throw in, the ref calms things down and then the action gets underway with the decibel level high from a vocal crowd.
