Vee Rovers FC
Shanbally Youths under 16s kicked off their season at home to St Kevins on Saturday. Two first half goals to St Kevins Daniel Burke and Keelan Williams saw them with a 2-0 advantage at the interval . St Kevin’s pulled a goal back in the second half but a goal ten minutes from time by Jack Sullivan gaurenteed the home side all three points.
The youths were away to Clonmel Celtic in the semi-final of the Tipperary Youths Cup at Ferryhouse. Failure to convert two early chances, which they could regret later on, saw both sides reach half time scoreless.
Two quick fire goals by Celtic early in the second half saw the home side get a grip on the game and they went on to add a third near the end to book their place in the final.
A much depleted junior side saw Vee Rovers play Bansha Celtic in a league fixture. Despite a batteling performance where everybody gave their all, saw Bansha run out 3-0 winners in the end.

Clogheen Drama Group
The final curtain came down last night to this years play “I do not like thee, Dr Fell” what was a great sucess. It ran for three nights and great reviews each night.
A big thank you to everyone who came to see this amazing production written by Bernard Farrell and expertly directed by our own Patricia Hickey.
To everyone who bought tickets, gave spot prizes, to the people who built the set, to all back stage, front of house and last but not least the wonderful cast.
To St Paul’s Community centre for the use of the hall over the last number of months. Thank you.
