TUS seeks planning from Tipperary County Council for tennis courts at Thurles campus

TUS Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), formerly LIT Thurles, has plans to expand its sporting facilites.

The college has lodged and application with Tipperary County Council for the construction of two tennis courts with eight 12m LED floodlights; the construction of a central practice court / children’s area with lightweight tensile roof / cover and viewing area at both sides of court; construction of tennis practice walls; construction of equipment storage sheds; construction of 2.4m high powder coated “Paladyn” type fencing with access gates and all associated site works.

Tipperary County Ccouncil is expected to make its decision on the application known on June 6.
