Gardaí arrest two youths in connection with burglary of shop in county Tipperary town

Gardaí investigate damaging of security shutter at Clonmel business premises

Gardaí are preparing a file for submission to the DPP following the arrests of two youths in connection with the burglary of a shop in Cashel three weeks ago.

The shop in the Ladyswell Street area was entered by several youths around 10pm on Wednesday, June 3. They took items from the shelves but were disrupted by the shop owner. A Cashel Garda Station spokesman said two youths were arrested on June 4

in relation to the burglary and were subsequently released without charge pending the submission of a file on the case to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí appeal to anyone in the Ladyswell Street area at the time of the burglary to contact Cashel Garda Station at (062) 75840 or Cahir Garda Station at (052) 7445631.
