Nenagh Courthouse: Tipperary man enters a guilty plea to growing cannabis valued at more than €13,000

A Tipperary man entered a guilty plea at Nenagh Circuit Criminal Court last week in relation to a large drugs seizure near Nenagh last year.

Anthony Ryan, 62, of Newtown, Ballinree, Ballymackey, was arraigned at the court on Friday.

He pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis with a valuation greater than €13,000 for the purpose of sale or supply at Newtown, Ballinree, Ballymackey, on February 11, 2022.

The court heard that a pre-sentencing probation report and psychological report would be required.

Judge Catherine Staines remanded Mr Ryan on bail to appear before Nenagh Circuit Criminal Court again on October 3.
